Retrofit Installations

Retro-fit installations involve upgrading, modifying, or adding fire protection systems to existing buildings or structures that were not originally equipped with the current fire protection requirements or where systems have become outdated. These installations improve life safety, code compliance, and system performance without requiring complete new construction.

When performing retrofit installations, S&S Fire Protection will:

  • Assess existing building conditions, fire protection systems, and applicable codes or standards.
  • Design and install new sprinklers, piping, alarms, or suppression systems to meet current requirements.
  • Work within existing structural constraints to minimize disruption and maintain building operations.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) to ensure compliance and smooth integration.
  • Perform necessary testing, commissioning, and documentation for the retrofitted systems.
  • Provide cost-effective solutions to extend the life and safety of older buildings.
