Fire Alarm/Life Safety

Fire alarm and life safety inspections are periodic evaluations conducted to ensure that fire alarm systems, detection devices, notification appliances, and other life safety components are fully operational and compliant with applicable codes and standards. These inspections verify that systems will perform reliably during an emergency to protect occupants and property.

When performing fire alarm/life safety inspections, S&S Fire Protection will:

  • Test fire alarm control panels, smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual pull stations, horns, strobes, and other notification devices.
  • Verify system wiring, battery backups, and communication with monitoring services.
  • Inspect emergency lighting, exit signage, and other integrated life safety equipment.
  • Document inspection results and identify any deficiencies or maintenance needs.
  • Provide detailed reports for building owners, managers, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) as required by NFPA 72 and local codes.
