Design/Engineering

These services are performed independently of installation and may be contracted directly by the owner, architect, or general contractor.

  • Evaluate the building’s use, hazards, and applicable codes/standards (such as NFPA, IBC, IFC).
  • Create the engineering documents, including fire protection plans, system criteria, hydraulic calculations, sequence-of-operations, and technical specifications.
  • Provide code consulting, system analysis, and recommendations to ensure compliance and proper system performance.
  • Coordinate design requirements with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines.
  • Submit sealed drawings (if required) for permitting and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) approval.
  • Does not perform installation unless separately contracted.
