Consulting refers to the provision of expert advice, technical guidance, and problem-solving services related to fire protection systems, codes, and regulations. Fire protection consulting supports owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) in making informed decisions to ensure fire safety, code compliance, and optimal system performance.
When providing consulting services, S&S Fire Protection will:
- Perform code analysis and interpretation to clarify fire protection requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard evaluations, and system reviews.
- Recommend fire protection strategies and system types based on building use, occupancy, and hazards.
- Review existing fire protection systems for compliance, performance, and potential upgrades.
- Assist with permit submissions, AHJ communications, and regulatory approvals.
- Provide feasibility studies, cost estimates, and life-cycle analyses.
- Support troubleshooting, failure investigations, and incident analyses.
